Single Pea

We have a warm sunny side of our yard were we grow peas, carrots, potatoes, figs, strawberry ext...
But I had peas in my garden this summer well... I still do. I had around 12 dried peas left on the vine and without thinking I planted all of them and to my surprise they grew, all 11 of them!(I gave one to my little sister ). I told Mom.They are still growing.

But the weather was so cold they all got frozen, but once again I got one of these little peas to grow. It is still growing all I do is watch. It seems to do everything by itself.Even though it is only about 1 1/2 feet I still like to look at it. It has not gotten any peas and probably wont get any, but I have a good feeling 1 little pea will make it through the icy winters.

  1. Sweet Pea I am rooting for your one lone pea to make it! I totally understand how you feel. I was doing the same thing right up until the freeze came and wiped everything out. I knew that the garden should have gone to sleep but I still couldn't help cheering them on as the flowers kept blooming. I do think it's kind of funny that you have frozen peas now. hehe.

Merry Christmas Sweet Pea! I hope you have a terrific day and get the one thing you wanted most under the tree.

  2. That is one tough plant! I hope you have a Merry Christmas. I just saw the chocolate bark you and your little sister made with your mom. It's looks good.

  3. Wouldn't it be fun if it did make it? You have become such a good gardener!

  4. This looks strong and determined. I used to try to get peas to grow in jam jars but they didn't get the pretty curly bits like this little one has.
